Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup warm milk about 110-115°F
  • 1/2 cup warm water about 110-115°F
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1 tbsp instant yeast 1 packet
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter melted, plus more for brushing
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour spooned and leveled

Method
 

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together warm water, warm milk, instant yeast, and sugar. Let stand for 2-3 minutes until slightly foamy.
  2. Stir in the melted butter and salt. Add 3 cups of flour and mix with a spoon until a shaggy dough forms.
  3. Turn the dough onto a floured surface. Add remaining ½ cup flour and knead for 2-3 minutes until smooth. The dough should be slightly tacky.
  4. Divide the dough into 12 equal pieces and roll each into a smooth ball. Place in a greased 9x13 inch pan. Cover and let rest in a warm place for 10-15 minutes while preheating the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  5. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown.
  6. Immediately brush the tops of the hot rolls with additional melted butter. Serve warm.
