Method
- In a large bowl, whisk together warm water, warm milk, instant yeast, and sugar. Let stand for 2-3 minutes until slightly foamy.
- Stir in the melted butter and salt. Add 3 cups of flour and mix with a spoon until a shaggy dough forms.
- Turn the dough onto a floured surface. Add remaining ½ cup flour and knead for 2-3 minutes until smooth. The dough should be slightly tacky.
- Divide the dough into 12 equal pieces and roll each into a smooth ball. Place in a greased 9x13 inch pan. Cover and let rest in a warm place for 10-15 minutes while preheating the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown.
- Immediately brush the tops of the hot rolls with additional melted butter. Serve warm.

Notes
Ensure your liquids are between 110-115°F to properly activate the yeast without killing it.
Do not over-knead the dough; a few minutes is all you need for these quick rolls.
For extra soft rolls, use whole milk.
