Ingredients

Primary Ingredients
  • 1 sheet Puff Pastry approx. 250g, chilled
  • 3 tbsp Unsalted Butter 45g, melted
  • 1/2 cup Granulated White Sugar 100g
  • 2 tbsp Ground Dark Cinnamon 12g
  • 1/4 tsp Fine Sea Salt 1.5g

Equipment

  • 1 Air Fryer Basket or oven style
  • 1 Pizza Cutter For clean dough strips
  • 1 Pastry Brush To apply butter glaze

Method

Prep and Coat
  1. Unroll the cold puff pastry onto a lightly floured surface. Brush the entire surface with the melted butter glaze.
  2. Mix the sugar, cinnamon, and salt. Sprinkle 75% of the mixture over the buttered pastry sheet.
Twist and Fry
  1. Cut the pastry into 1-inch strips. Twist each strip into a tight spiral, ensuring the layers are visible.
  2. Place in the air fryer at 375°F (190°C) for 8-10 minutes until golden-brown with toasted, charred edges.
  3. Toss the hot twists in the remaining cinnamon sugar mixture for a dense, sparkling coating.
