Ingredients

Primary Ingredients
  • 1 lb Fresh Green Beans 450g, trimmed
  • 1 tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil 15ml
  • 3 cloves Garlic 15g, minced fresh
  • 1/2 tsp Crushed Red Pepper Flakes 1g
  • 1/2 tsp Coarse Cracked Black Pepper 1g
  • 1/2 tsp Kosher Salt 3g

Equipment

  • 1 Air Fryer Basket style preferred for airflow
  • 1 Mixing Bowl Large enough to toss beans

Method

Prepare the Beans
  1. Rinse green beans and pat thoroughly dry with a towel to ensure a proper blister. Trim the stem ends.
  2. In a large bowl, toss beans with 1 tbsp (15ml) olive oil, salt, and cracked black pepper until glistening.
Air Fry
  1. Preheat air fryer to 400°F (200°C). Place beans in the basket and cook for 6 minutes.
  2. Open the basket, add minced garlic and red pepper flakes. Shake well to distribute and cook for an additional 2-4 minutes.
  3. Remove when beans show dark brown charred skins and garlic is lightly toasted. Transfer to a charcoal grey bowl and serve immediately.
