Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb ground beef 80/20 blend recommended
  • 1/2 cup yellow onion finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tbsp yellow mustard
  • 1/4 cup dill pickles finely chopped
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 can refrigerated crescent roll dough 8 oz
  • 1 large egg beaten with 1 tsp water
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds

Method
 

  1. In a large skillet, cook the ground beef and chopped onion over medium-high heat until browned. Drain excess grease. Stir in ketchup, mustard, and chopped pickles. Season with salt and pepper and cool slightly.
  2. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Unroll crescent dough into four rectangles on a lightly floured surface, pressing perforations to seal.
  3. Spread the beef mixture over the dough rectangles. Sprinkle evenly with shredded cheddar cheese. Roll each rectangle up tightly into a log, starting from a long side.
  4. Slice each log into 6 rollups (24 total). Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Brush with egg wash and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
  5. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown and puffed.
