  • 1 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 3/4 cup light brown sugar packed
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg at room temperature
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup crushed potato chips
  • 1 cup broken pretzels
  • 1/2 cup holiday sprinkles or M&Ms

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar with an electric mixer until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
  3. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until just combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Slowly add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing on low until just combined.
  6. Gently fold in the chocolate chips, crushed potato chips, broken pretzels, and holiday sprinkles.
  7. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, about 2 inches apart.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes, until edges are golden brown and the centers are set. Let cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
