Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Unroll the crescent dough sheet onto a lightly floured surface. If using a perforated sheet, gently press the seams to seal them into a single rectangle.
  3. Spread the pizza sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges. Sprinkle with mozzarella cheese, mini pepperoni, and Italian seasoning.
  4. Starting from one long edge, roll the dough tightly into a log. Slice the log into 1-inch thick pinwheels.
  5. Place the pizza bites on the prepared baking sheet. In a small bowl, combine the melted butter and garlic powder. Brush the mixture over the top of each bite.
  6. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the dough is golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  7. Let the bites cool slightly before serving. Serve warm with extra pizza sauce for dipping.

Notes

Tip 1: Don't overfill the bites, or they will be difficult to roll and may become soggy.
Tip 2: For extra festive shapes, you can arrange the pinwheels into a Christmas tree or wreath shape on the baking sheet before baking.
Tip 3: Feel free to customize with other toppings like finely chopped bell peppers, onions, or cooked sausage.
