Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup salted butter equivalent to 1 stick
  • 10 oz package mini marshmallows plus 1 cup reserved
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 6 cups Rice Krispies cereal
  • 1/4 cup Christmas sprinkles for topping

  • 1 9x13 inch Baking Pan Lined with parchment paper
  • 1 Spatula

Method
 

  1. In a large pot over low heat, melt the salted butter.
  2. Add the 10-ounce package of mini marshmallows. Stir constantly until completely melted and smooth, then remove from heat.
  3. Stir in the vanilla extract. Gently fold in the Rice Krispies cereal until just coated.
  4. Fold in the final reserved cup of mini marshmallows for extra gooey pockets.
  5. Transfer the mixture to a parchment-lined 9x13 inch pan. Gently press into an even layer with a greased spatula. Immediately top with festive sprinkles.
  6. Allow the treats to cool completely for at least 30 minutes before cutting into squares and serving.
