- In a large pot over low heat, melt the salted butter.
- Add the 10-ounce package of mini marshmallows. Stir constantly until completely melted and smooth, then remove from heat.
- Stir in the vanilla extract. Gently fold in the Rice Krispies cereal until just coated.
- Fold in the final reserved cup of mini marshmallows for extra gooey pockets.
- Transfer the mixture to a parchment-lined 9x13 inch pan. Gently press into an even layer with a greased spatula. Immediately top with festive sprinkles.
- Allow the treats to cool completely for at least 30 minutes before cutting into squares and serving.
