  • 16 ounces cream cheese softened to room temperature
  • 2 cups sharp cheddar cheese freshly shredded
  • 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/3 cup green onions finely chopped
  • 1 1/2 cups pecans toasted and chopped

Method
 

  1. In a large bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Beat with an electric mixer until smooth and fully combined.
  2. Using a spatula, fold in the chopped green onions until just distributed.
  3. Transfer the mixture to a large piece of plastic wrap. Form it into a ball and wrap it tightly. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours to firm up.
  4. Just before serving, unwrap the cheese ball and roll it in the toasted chopped pecans until evenly coated. Serve with crackers, pretzels, or veggies.
