  • 1 cup Unsalted Butter Softened (227g)
  • 1 cup Light Brown Sugar Packed (200g)
  • ½ cup Granulated White Sugar (100g)
  • 2 large Eggs Room temperature
  • 1 tbsp Vanilla Extract
  • 2 ¼ cups All-Purpose Flour (280g)
  • 1 tsp Baking Soda (5g)
  • 1 tsp Sea Salt (6g)
  • 6 oz Dark Chocolate Bar Chopped into irregular chunks (170g)
  • ½ cup Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips (90g)

  • 1 Parchment Paper
  • 1 Cookie Scoop 3-tablespoon capacity
  • 1 Stand Mixer Or hand mixer

Method
 

Dough Preparation
  1. Cream together softened butter, brown sugar, and white sugar in a stand mixer for 3-5 minutes until pale and fluffy.
  2. Add eggs one at a time, then vanilla, mixing on low speed until just combined.
  3. Whisk flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add to the wet mixture, stopping when a few flour streaks remain.
  4. Fold in the semi-sweet chips and dark chocolate chunks by hand. Chill dough for 30 minutes.
Baking
  1. Scoop 3-tablespoon sized balls onto a parchment-lined sheet. Press extra chocolate chunks into the tops.
  2. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 10-12 minutes until edges are toasted golden-brown but centers remain pale and soft.
