Preparation and Searing
- Pat shrimp dry and season. Heat oil in skillet over medium-high heat. Sear shrimp for 90 seconds per side until pink and golden. Remove and set aside.
- Lower heat to medium. Add minced garlic and sauté for 2 minutes until you see small golden bits.
- Pour in coconut milk and smoked paprika. Simmer for 5-7 minutes until the sauce is thick, opaque, and features orange oil swirls.
- Toss shrimp back into the sauce to coat. Transfer to a shallow white ceramic bowl. Garnish with a heavy dusting of cilantro and chili flakes.
