- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, use a spatula to cream the softened butter and packed brown sugar together until light and fluffy.
- Stir in the vanilla extract. Add the all-purpose flour and salt, mixing gently until just combined. Do not overmix.
- Gently fold the chocolate chunks into the cookie dough.
- Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden brown. The centers may look slightly underdone.
- Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
