  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper optional
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • Fresh parsley chopped, for garnish (optional)

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Pat the turkey tails dry with paper towels. Place them in a large bowl.
  3. In a small bowl, combine the smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, dried thyme, cayenne pepper (if using), salt, and black pepper. Mix well.
  4. Drizzle the olive oil over the turkey tails. Sprinkle the spice mixture all over, ensuring even coating. Rub spices in with your hands.
  5. Arrange turkey tails in a single layer on a baking sheet. Roast in the preheated oven for 45-60 minutes, or until cooked through and tender, reaching an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
  6. Remove from oven, let rest for 5-10 minutes. Garnish with fresh parsley, if desired.
