Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups Spinach Fresh, packed
  • 4 Kale Leaves Stems removed
  • 1 Green Apple Cored and chopped
  • 1/2 Cucumber Chopped
  • 1/2 Lemon Peeled
  • 1 inch Ginger Fresh, peeled
  • 1/2 cup Water For blender method only

Equipment

  • 1 Juicer or High-Speed Blender A juicer is recommended for a smoother texture, but a blender works well too.
  • 1 Fine-Mesh Sieve (for blender method) Optional, for straining pulp.

Method
 

Juicer Method
  1. Thoroughly wash all your fruits and vegetables. Chop the apple, cucumber, and ginger into pieces small enough to fit through your juicer's chute.
  2. Start by feeding the spinach and kale through the juicer, then follow with the green apple, cucumber, lemon, and ginger.
  3. Stir the collected juice and serve immediately.
Blender Method
  1. Wash all ingredients. Chop the apple and cucumber into 1-inch chunks. Peel the lemon and ginger.
  2. Place all ingredients into the blender with 1/2 to 1 cup of cold water. Blend on high for 60-90 seconds until completely smooth.
  3. For a smoother juice, strain the mixture through a fine-mesh sieve. Discard the pulp and serve immediately.

Notes

For a sweeter juice, you can add another half of a green apple or a small handful of pineapple. Store any leftovers in a sealed glass jar in the fridge for up to 24 hours.
