Ingredients

Recipe Ingredients
  • 1 lb Fresh whole strawberries 454g, stems attached
  • 10 oz White chocolate melting wafers 283g
  • 8 oz Orange chocolate melting wafers 227g
  • 8 oz Dark chocolate melting wafers 227g
  • 2 oz Green chocolate accents 57g
  • 3 tsp Coconut oil 15ml, divided
  • 48 count Small white candy eyes For mummies
  • 1/4 cup Orange and yellow fall sprinkles For garnish

Equipment

  • 3 Microwave-safe glass bowls One for each chocolate color.
  • 3 Piping Bags Small or disposable bags for details.
  • 1 Parchment Paper To prevent sticking.

Method

Preparation
  1. Wash strawberries and dry them meticulously with paper towels. Let air dry for 30 minutes to ensure no moisture remains.
  2. Melt white, orange, and dark chocolate wafers in 30-second bursts in the microwave at 50% power, stirring in 1 tsp coconut oil per bowl until glossy.
Decorating
  1. Dip berry in white chocolate, lift, and let a 'long drip' form before placing on parchment. Once set, pipe dark chocolate dots for eyes and mouth.
  2. Dip in white chocolate. Once set, pipe horizontal white chocolate 'bandages' across the berry and attach two candy eyes.
  3. Dip in orange chocolate. Use dark chocolate to pipe triangle eyes and a jagged mouth. Add a green chocolate dot at the stem.
  4. Dip in dark chocolate and immediately roll in autumn sprinkles while the coating is still wet.

Notes

Always dry strawberries completely to prevent chocolate seizing.
Use high-quality melting wafers rather than chocolate chips for a smoother finish.
