  • 2 lbs Chicken Breast 907g, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1/2 cup Honey 170g
  • 4 cloves Garlic 20g, minced
  • 1/4 cup Soy Sauce 60ml
  • 2 tbsp Rice Vinegar 30ml
  • 1 tsp Cornstarch 3g
  • 1 tsp Toasted Sesame Oil 5ml
  • 2 tbsp Neutral Oil 30ml, for searing
  • 1 tbsp White Sesame Seeds 9g
  • 3 stalks Green Onions Sliced into rounds

Equipment

  • 12 Bamboo Skewers Soaked for 30 minutes
  • 1 Cast-Iron Grill Pan Or outdoor grill
  • 1 Small Saucepan For reducing glaze

Method
 

Prep and Sauce
  1. Soak bamboo skewers in water for 30 minutes to prevent burning.
  2. Whisk honey, soy sauce, garlic, vinegar, sesame oil, and cornstarch in a saucepan. Simmer over medium heat until thickened and translucent.
Grilling
  1. Thread uniform chicken cubes onto skewers. Brush with neutral oil.
  2. Grill on medium-high heat for 4-5 minutes per side until charred edges appear.
  3. Brush generously with honey garlic sauce during the last 2 minutes of cooking.
