Preparation
- Freeze the ribeye for 30-45 minutes, then shave into paper-thin strips against the grain.
- Slice bell peppers and onions into thin strips and chop the parsley.
Cooking
- Heat 1 tbsp oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sauté peppers and onions until translucent and soft. Remove from skillet.
- Wipe skillet, add remaining oil, and heat on high. Sear ribeye in batches until browned and a crust forms. Season with salt, garlic powder, and half the pepper.
Assembly & Baking
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Combine meat and veggies in a white ceramic baking dish.
- Top with an uneven layer of provolone cheese.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes. Broil for 2 minutes until bubbly with golden-brown spots.
- Garnish with remaining black pepper and chopped parsley. Serve while steaming.
