Method
- In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, sesame oil, brown sugar, minced garlic, grated ginger, and red pepper flakes. Set aside.
- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and cook, breaking it apart with a spoon, until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
- Carefully drain off any excess grease from the skillet.
- Pour the prepared sauce over the beef. Stir to coat and bring to a simmer. Cook for 2-3 minutes until the sauce has thickened slightly.
- Spoon the Korean ground beef over bowls of warm rice. Garnish with toasted sesame seeds and sliced green onions before serving.
