- Crush the Oreo cookies into fine crumbs. Mix with melted butter. Press firmly into the bottom of a 9x13-inch dish. Freeze for 10 minutes.
- In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth. Fold in 8 oz of thawed whipped topping. Spread this mixture over the chilled Oreo crust.
- In another bowl, whisk the instant chocolate pudding mix and cold milk for 2 minutes until it begins to thicken. Immediately spread over the cream cheese layer.
- Chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to allow the pudding to set.
- Top with the remaining 8 oz of whipped topping. Garnish with festive sprinkles and holiday M&Ms.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight, before slicing and serving.
