Method
- In a large mixing bowl, gently combine the ground beef, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Divide into 8 equal portions and shape into patties about ¾ inch thick. Make a small indentation in the center of each patty.
- Preheat your Blackstone griddle over medium-high heat. Drizzle the olive oil evenly over the griddle surface.
- Place burger patties on the hot griddle. Cook for 3-5 minutes per side for desired doneness (3-4 minutes for medium-rare, 4-5 minutes for medium). Avoid pressing down on the patties.
- In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheese on top of each burger patty and let it melt.
- Lightly toast the burger buns on the griddle for 1-2 minutes until golden brown.
- Remove burgers and buns from the griddle. Assemble burgers with cheesy patties, buns, and your favorite toppings. Serve immediately.
Notes
Ingredient Swaps: For leaner burgers, use ground turkey or chicken. Spice it up with cayenne pepper. For bunless option, use lettuce wraps or portobello mushroom caps.
Tips for Perfection: Don't overcrowd the griddle. Use a meat thermometer for accurate doneness. Smash burgers for crispy edges. Briefly rest burgers before serving. Clean your griddle promptly after use.
