Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb ground pork sausage at room temperature, do not use pre-cooked
  • 3 cups baking mix such as Bisquick
  • 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese freshly grated from a block is highly recommended

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the room temperature ground sausage, baking mix, and freshly shredded cheddar cheese. Use your hands or a stand mixer to mix until thoroughly combined and no dry patches remain.
  3. Roll the mixture into 1-inch balls and place them about an inch apart on the prepared baking sheet.
  4. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through. The internal temperature should be at least 160°F.
  5. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm!
