Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 3 slices Artisanal White Bread Thick-cut for toasting
  • 6 oz Chicken Breast (170g) Seared with charred edges
  • 3 strips Thick-cut Bacon (60g) Cooked wavy and crispy
  • 0.5 whole Avocado Ripe
  • 2 tbsp Buttermilk Ranch Dressing (30ml)
  • 2 slices Red Tomato Thinly sliced
  • 1 leaf Green Leaf Lettuce Ruffled
  • 1 tbsp Avocado Oil For searing

Equipment

  • 1 Cast Iron Skillet For searing chicken and crisping bacon.
  • 1 Wooden Toothpicks To hold the multi-layered sandwich together.
  • 1 Serrated Knife For slicing artisanal bread cleanly.

Method

Prep and Sear
  1. Mash the avocado and whisk with ranch dressing until a thick, pale green spread forms.
  2. Season chicken with salt and pepper. Heat oil in a skillet and sear until distinct golden-brown charred edges appear, about 6 minutes per side.
  3. In the same skillet, cook bacon strips until wavy, deeply browned, and crispy.
  4. Toast artisanal bread slices until golden-brown and sturdy.
  5. Layer: Bread, avocado ranch, tomato, ruffled lettuce, chicken, and bacon. Top with second bread slice and secure with a wooden toothpick.

Notes

Rest the chicken for 3 minutes before stacking to prevent a soggy sandwich.
Use ruffled lettuce as a 'grip' layer to keep the bacon from sliding.
