Method
- Pour the non-dairy milk into a small saucepan over medium heat.
- Add the grated ginger, ground turmeric, cinnamon, black pepper, and any optional spices or sweetener.
- Whisk everything together thoroughly to break up any spice clumps and create a smooth mixture.
- Bring the latte to a gentle simmer (do not boil) and let it heat for 2-5 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
- Pour the warm turmeric latte into a mug, garnish with extra cinnamon if desired, and enjoy immediately.
Notes
For a completely smooth latte, you can strain it through a fine-mesh sieve before serving. You can use 1/2 tsp of grated fresh turmeric instead of ground turmeric. For an iced version, prepare as directed, let cool completely, and pour over ice.
