Assembly and Cooking
- Cook the bacon in a skillet until the edges are charred and crispy. Core the green apple and cut it into very thin slices.
- Lay out the artisan sourdough slices. Spread the creamy honey mustard evenly on the interior side of the top slices. On the bottom slices, layer the folded thick-cut deli turkey breast, crispy bacon strips, and fanned thin slices of green apple.
- Place the sharp yellow cheddar slices over the apples, letting the edges hang slightly so they cascade as they melt. Top with the mustard-coated bread slice.
- Butter the top exterior of the sandwich. Place butter-side down in a skillet over medium-low heat. Butter the new top exterior. Cover with a lid to trap steam. Toast for 3-4 minutes until golden-brown, carefully flip, cover, and toast another 2-3 minutes until the cheese is completely melted.

Notes
Fold the turkey breast instead of laying it flat to create a lighter, more tender bite.
Use a lid while toasting the sandwich to ensure the sharp cheddar cheese fully melts without burning the sourdough bread.
